Representatives will be selected for each community and will become a part of the Lincoln County Leader’s Council and will report the findings from each of their meetings to the Council. 4-H University of Wyoming Career Day November 6 & 7 |
This is a great opportunity for high school age 4-H members. Lincoln County 4-H will be joining Sublette and Uinta Counties for a trip to the University of Wyoming campus and football game with BYU. If you are interested, please contact the Kemmerer Extension Office, 828-4092 or Afton Extension Office, 885-3132 to register. Livestock Judging Classes |
The classes will take place in each community that has enough kids registered. Classes will be cancelled if there is not enough members registered. The classes will run from November through March. Call the Afton or Kemmerer Extension Offices to register. The register deadline is Friday, October 30. State 4-H Leaders' Conference Buffalo, WY January 15-17, 2010
|
Mark your calendars for January 15-17, 2010, for the 2010 State 4-H Leaders’ Conference in Buffalo. This conference is a great opportunity for leaders around the state to gather to share ideas and develop skills through hands-on workshops and meetings. The Northeast Area has been hard at work planning the conference which features the theme “Leaders Building Gold Medal Programs” and will be headquartered at the Buffalo Middle School. State Leaders Conference will help give participants tools to take back to their counties and build gold medal programs that have a positive impact on youth and build life skills for youth and leaders. The weekend will include a local scavenger hunt, round table discussions, workshops, keynote speakers, networking, and an awards banquet. Be on the lookout in the next few months for more information including workshop proposal forms and registration. Come join other leaders for this great learning opportunity! You don’t want to miss this event. |

Service Project Ideas |
This is the time of year when things are slowing down a little bit, which is a good time to think about service projects. There are a lot of different ideas out there. Here are a few; Jackson Hole Regional Horse Rescue (located in Thayne), Star Valley Therapeutic Activities and Riding, Animal Human Association, Project Linus, Search and Rescue, Hero Back Packs, Food Banks, etc. If your club wants more information or need some help with ideas please call either Extension Office. |

Animal Eligibility for State Fair |
For animals to be eligible to show at State Fair, they must be shown at County Fair and deemed worthy to go to State by the 4-H and/or FFA staff. |

| New State 4-H Club Changes |

| Project Meeting Requirement |
Lincoln County Requirement: All members must attend five (5) meetings during the year. Members should attend at least two (2) meetings in each of their project areas. This is to help promote the education in each project. The rest may come from community club meeting attendance. |
