Library News
This summer the George William Hopper Law Library migrated to a new library system. The new system integrates Law Library materials with the University of Wyoming Libraries’ holdings. By default, users searching our catalog will search only Law-owned titles, but from a drop-down menu on the search screen, access to all collections across the university will be available.
In addition to locating our physical resources, thousands of electronic cataloging records have been added to the system. Treatise titles from Westlaw and Lexis are directly linkable with a password, and Gale’s Making of Modern Law, a historic collection of American and British legal titles, are available full-text.
Another new service is Request It. Users associated with the university no longer need to leave the building to retrieve materials from across campus. By clicking on the Request It button in the catalog’s search pages, anyone may request books or articles anywhere in the University’s collection to be sent or emailed directly to them.
