UW Law Students & Members of Administration Visit with Undergrads at Multicultural Resource Center

On Tuesday, February 13, 2007, four law students volunteered to speak with undergraduates interested in going to law school at the Multicultural Resource Center (MRC) in the Union.  Assistant Dean Denise Burke, Director of Law Career Services Anetra Parks and Admissions and Student Services Coordinator Carol Persson were also on hand to provide the particulars of the process of applying for law school.  First-year law students Jaclyn Caballero and Donald Howard, second-year law student Katie Hui, and third-year law student Travis Kirchhefer volunteered to talk with undergraduate students at a presentation by the law school at the MRC about what it is like to be a minority and/or underrepresented student in law school.  Every year, the law school endeavors to reach out to UW undergraduates, particularly students who are typically underrepresented in the law school, to encourage them to apply to UW College of Law.
