Hiring criteria: This position requires a person who is a graduate of an accredited law school, willing to take and pass the Wyoming State Bar exam. We will work around your reasonable study schedule as you prepare for the Bar exam. Very good research, writing and oral communication skills are important. Good social skills for dealing with court personnel, opposing attorneys, county employees, victims, law enforcement, and co-workers in a positive and professional manner is a must. This is a great opportunity to begin your legal career. This position will prepare you for future private practice or (our hope) a long career in criminal prosecution and governmental service. Your success is our success.

Comments: Duties of the office include felony and misdemeanor criminal prosecution, juvenile court cases and governmental civil work (i.e. contract, planning and zoning, etc.). The office has four deputies and the elected County Attorney. The small office environment allows strong mentoring and training, as well as opportunities for case management and trial work very early in your career. Duties will include Juvenile Court work, misdemeanor prosecution, and other areas based on your interests and office needs.
