UW College of Law Dean's Advisory Board Member Profile:  Greg Dyekman

By Meagan K. Ciesla

Greg Dyekman knows how to keep busy. Besides serving as a founding member of the Dean’s Advisory Board, Dyekman serves on 8 other Boards around Wyoming and credits his partners and staff at Dray, Thomson and Dyekman, P.C. for allowing him to participate so fully in the community.  Among other boards, Dyekman is on the Board of the Cheyenne Symphony but also has a soft spot for the theatre and sports. He makes it to UW, Rockies and Broncos games whenever he can and promises to support the theatre until he gets "conned into acting." He believes he’s better off a member of the audience than having a place on stage.

After graduating from law school, Dyekman teamed up with Perry Dray, now his law partner, who has been his mentor for 27 years. Dyekman says of Dray, “He not only taught me law but he taught me how to be a lawyer who gets and keeps good clients.” It’s amazing that Dyekman has time to do everything he wants as well as keep his clients happy. He doesn't take that for granted.

As far as the UW College of Law goes, Dyekman believes whole heartedly in the level and value of its education and becomes involved in any way he can. So much so that he serves as an adjunct professor at the College of Law.  It’s just another thing to add to his to do list.
