The first deadline for 2008 We the People Grants is November 1, 2007 and will continue monthly until all funds are expended. Preservation and Access grants will be awarded to organizations for projects to preserve and create intellectual access to collections, because of their intellectual content and value as cultural artifacts. The preservation of community history collections and public access to these collections are integral to the understanding of Wyoming’s history and culture and preservation and access to local historical/cultural resources are limited in small communities in Wyoming. The program aims to make historical and cultural collections more accessible to local communities, researchers, and the public.
The Wyoming Humanities Council staff is available to answer questions and offer assistance to grant writers at any time. We strongly recommend you submit a draft and work closely with Jenny Ingram to complete your application. jingram@uwyo.edu or 307-721-9247.
