March 28, 2008 -- The University of Wyoming College of Health Sciences will sponsor its 14th annual research day, "Grand Rounds," Friday, April 4, from 8:45 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in the Wyoming Union Family Room. The event will showcase award winners of the 2007 seed grants and 2007 travel grants. Among the featured guest speakers is Jenny Etnier, an associate professor and interim head for the Department of Exercise and Sport Science at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. Etnier's 9 a.m. presentation is titled, "This is Your Brain. This is Your Brain on Exercise." James Sowers, director of the Center for Diabetes and Cardiovascular Health at the University of Missouri-Columbia, will give a presentation at 1 p.m., titled, "Effects of Angiotensin II and Aldosterone on Insulin-mediated Cardiovascular Function."
