Aug. 31, 2007 -- William A. Zellmer, deputy executive vice president of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), will be the keynote speaker for the annual Otis L. Hoy Memorial Seminar Sept. 7-8, during University of Wyoming Pharmacy Weekend.
Zellmer's duties at ASHP include strategic planning, professional policy development, government affairs, public relations and international affairs. His free presentation, "Inventing the Future of Pharmacy Practice," will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, in Room 129 of the Classroom Building. A reception honoring Zellmer will follow outside Room 427 of the Health Sciences Center.
The seminar, which qualifies for Continuing Education (C.E.) credits with registration, launches several additional continuing education programs focusing on this year's Pharmacy Weekend theme, "Advancing Pharmacy Practice in Wyoming."
