Provide an introduction to the vocabulary necessary to
communicate with health care providers whom they might
encounter in employment situations.

and Issues in Health Care
A total of 3 credits with at least
one credit at the 1000 level and
one credit at the 4000 level.
Provides information concerning the
breadth and variety
of practices and opportunities under the
heading of health
care.
Provide an understanding of the
application and potential of
technologies for organizing and managing health care.
Provide an introduction to the needs and issues of specific
populations and means of addressing these needs and issues.
Develop a broader understanding of considerations in health care,
human development and/or the responsibilities of healthcare
providers. Many of the electives require pre-requisites. It will be
the responsibility of students and advisors to assure students have
the necessary preparation. Substitutions require PRIOR approval.
Provide real world experiences in the field and an opportunity to
reflect upon and integrate information gained in other coursework.
Internship and seminar will be completed in the senior year after
completing the majority of other
coursework for the minor.
