History Department to feature speaker on the Islamic world |

On Thursday September 22, the History Department will feature a public lecture by Jere Bachrach, Professor Emeritus of History and Golub Professor of International Studies at University of Washington, who will speak on "The Architecture of Islamic Power. This will be an illustrated talk on where Muslim rulers were located from Spain to India from the eighth to the sixteenth centuries. Professor Bachrach will be making extensive use of images in his talk.
Professor Bachrach's visit to the University of Wyoming and his public lecture are supported by the Cone endowment in the History Department. Past Cone speakers have included James McPherson and John Lewis Gaddis.
