Human Rights Expert to Talk Feb. 19

Aubrey Ardema, an international expert on human rights in Cambodia, will present at a brown bag lunch Monday, Feb. 19.

Her talk, “International Law and the Khmer Rouge Tribunal,” will be from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 149 of the College of Law.

Ardema, a Denver attorney, served as associate legal adviser to the Documentation Center of Cambodia in 2004. In 2002 she was a legal intern to Judge Yakov Ostrovsky at the U.N. International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and has done analysis for the U.N. Association on the International Criminal Court.

She earned a B.A. from the University of Oregon and a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law, where she was a founding board member and article editor of the “Santa Clara Journal of International Law.”
