The President's Society

The President’s Society is the premier leadership giving circle for alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends of the University of Wyoming. Individuals, households, or businesses donating $1,000 or more to the University of Wyoming on an annual basis are recognized as members of the President’s Society for the remainder of the university’s fiscal year, July 1–June 30.

Members of the President’s Society enjoy exclusive privileges including special communications concerning major University of Wyoming initiatives, invitations to private University of Wyoming events, recognition as a member of the President’s Society, and much more.

Because the President’s Society affords its donors the flexibility to direct their gifts to the UW college, department, or program of their choice, our members and the areas they support are as diverse as the university itself. However, they share a common bond—a passion for Wyoming, a love of higher education, and a deep appreciation for the role Wyoming’s university plays in shaping our world.

Your Support
Gifts to the President’s Society are the backbone of annual support for the University of Wyoming. Although the State of Wyoming provides the base of funding UW needs to operate a modern university, it takes the annual support of alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends for UW’s colleges, departments, and programs to excel. President’s Society gifts do not replace other revenue streams but serve as a catalyst for quality. Because of the generosity of members of the President’s Society, funds are available when there is an unexpected need or a sudden opportunity.

Membership
Your annual giving of $1,000 or more to the University of Wyoming in any fiscal year qualifies you for membership in the President’s Society. The recognition you receive is based on total gifts to all University of Wyoming areas during the fiscal year (July 1–June 30).

· President’s Society Partners ~ $1,000–$2,499 (annually)

· President’s Society Founders ~ $2,500–$4,999 (annually)

· President’s Society Fellows ~ $5,000–$9,999 (annually)

· President’s Society Benefactors ~ $10,000–24,999 (annually)

· President’s Society Visionaries ~ $25,000 and above (annually)

Based on your level of giving, you may receive various benefits and courtesies extended by the UW President, UW Foundation, and individual colleges, departments, and programs in concert with your specifically designated donation(s). Because membership considers comprehensive cumulative giving throughout the university’s fiscal year (July 1–June 30), members of the President’s Society may accrue additional benefits from colleges, departments, and programs throughout the fiscal year for additional designated donations made after your first President’s Society level donation.
