UW Community Service Education Changes Its Name

Printable Article Email this Article

March 10, 2008 -- The University of Wyoming Outreach School Division of Community Service Education (CSE) is now known as the Center for Conferences and Continuing Education (CCCE).

"The Center for Conferences and Continuing Education better describes what we do for the Outreach School," CCCE Director Sheila Couture says. "We want to stand out in the public's mind as the source for conference coordination and adult education."

CCCE coordinates around 200 conferences annually through the Office of Conferences and Institutes. It provides full coordination for a variety of associations, groups and causes in Wyoming, the Rocky Mountain region, and nationally.

The Events Planning Office is an integral part of CCCE, offering a one-stop-shop for events that want to use UW space. Events Planning can arrange to meet all of a group’s needs when planning an event on campus.

Additionally, CCCE coordinates enrichment classes, online noncredit classes, and customized training across Wyoming. Online classes through CCCE begin continuously throughout the year and are an easy way to learn new skills or refresh some old ones. There are more than 5,000 classes from which to choose.
