The UW Foundation Board of Directors Investment Committee is responsible for determining the investment policy and selecting investment managers for the endowment pool. Currently, the Foundation Board engages the investment consulting firm of Monticello & Associates of Denver, CO. Having professional investment managers helps ensure investment management remains consistent, despite periodic changes in Foundation personnel and Board composition.

Broad diversification aimed at providing strong appreciation while guarding against the risk of rapid swings in market values is a goal the Foundation is achieving under the direction of our investment advisors. As of December 31, 2007, the Foundation's Asset Allocations were on target, and the endowment pool has grown steadily from $130 million in 2002 to $289 million in 2007.
