How do I sign up? |
It's Easy!
If you are accepted into a Freshman Interest Group (they do fill up fast!), you will be placed in the residence hall area assigned to that FIG. Freshman Interest Group acceptance will be given priority over other living plan choices marked on your housing contract. You must return your Residence Hall and Food Service Contract and deposit before you can be enrolled in a FIG, so be sure to mail it and your FIG application together. Assignments to a FIG and FIG housing will be made on a date-priority basis, depending on when UW receives your applications. It’s important to send your application as soon as possible, and at the same time you return your housing contract. PREFERENTIAL DEADLINE: MAY 1. Applicants will be notified by the end of May or early June.
FIGS and New Student OrientationYou are encouraged to attend one of the New Student Orientation sessions in order to complete your registration for fall semester classes. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet other first-year students, get acquainted with UW faculty and staff, and learn about many aspects of your new life. There are sessions for your parents, too. For information on New Student Orientation, contact: Admissions Office, P.O. Box 3435, University of Wyoming, Laramie, WY 82071-3435, (307) 766-5160 in Laramie or 1-(800) 342-5996 outside of Laramie.
