Robert and Carol Berry Center for Biodiversity Conservation

Research and educational facilities for the life sciences will expand and collocate thanks to a $10 million gift that will create the Robert and Carol Berry Center for Biodiversity Conservation. The Center will create new facilities for research in conservation biology, avian systems and plant ecology. In addition, the Wyoming Natural Diversity Database, Nucleic Acid Exploration Facility and Stable Isotope Lab, and zoology collections will be relocated to the Center. The 40,000 square-foot facility is to be built on land currently occupied by the University's Cowboy Dorm. The Center will be devoted to shared research and educational outreach, offices, classrooms, a lecture hall, seminar room and demonstration area. Construction is projected to begin in 2009 with completion in 2010.
