ELS Laramie students can choose to live on campus and immerse themselves into the culture of the great American university, the University of Wyoming. Students will live in Downey Hall, a residence hall on campus. Rooms are double occupancy. Smoking in rooms is not permitted.
Each room is equipped with network access, telephone, and a private bathroom. The fee for on-campus housing includes 12 meals per week at UW’s state of the art brand new Washakie Dining Hall. Sheets, Blanket, pillow, and towel are provided upon arrival and returned upon departure. Students have access to laundry rooms to wash their clothing, towels, and sheets.
A great option for many students is to live with an English-speaking family. Not only will you be able to practice your English regularly, but you will also experience firsthand the American customs and lifestyle. Students often develop very close relationships with their host families—friendships that can last a life-time.
Homestay accommodations consist of private room lodging with an American host. The price includes a continental breakfast and a prepared dinner each day. Sheets, blankets, pillow, and towel are provides. Students also have access to laundry facilities.
Advanced reservations are required in order to guarantee a Homestay for the first session of attendance.
