Position with UW: Lead Teacher, Infant room

Place born/raised: I was born in Lincoln, NE. My family moved to Ord, NE when I was 8 yrs. old.

Degree(s): I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood

Experience: I have worked in early childhood centers for 11 years. Prior to becoming the lead infant teacher at the UW ECEC, I was the lead teacher in the toddler room at One of a Kind in Lawrence, Kansas.  I moved to Ohio in 2001 and worked as the Preschool Itinerant teacher in Lima, Ohio.  In 2002 my husband and I moved to Greeley, Colorado where I taught in both the preschool and kindergarten rooms as a lead teacher at the ABC Child development center.

CPR, First Aid and Universal Precautions certified

Family: There are six members in my family. My parents still reside in Ord, NE. My sister and her family reside in Kearney , NE. My brother and his family reside in Lincoln, NE. and my youngest brother resides in Key West, FL. My husband, Casey, and I moved to Laramie in July of ’05. My husband is an assistant professor and scenic designer in the Department of Theater and Dance.

Hobbies/interests/research topics:   I love spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy spending time outside and painting ceramics.
