Wednesday, January 9 Join April Heaney, LeaRN Director, and faculty from multiple disciplines to discuss strategies for better preparing students for active reading and critical analysis of college texts. 1:00 - 2:15: Effective Classroom Presentations (Christi Boggs, Janet Corbett, and Robin Hill) - Coe 307 Learn how to make your PowerPoint presentations more effective as well as how to use alternative technology that is available for classroom presentations.

Classroom Technology Manager and ECTL Instructional Services are
offering hands on training and time to practice using the new
instructional technologies in the Classroom Building. Everyone
scheduled to teach in the CR for the first time is advised to 2:00 - 4:00: Introduction to Online Course Platforms (Robin Hill)- Coe 307
Robin will
discuss the basics of eCompanion, WebCT, and Course Studio.
Attendees will learn how to request and navigate a course shell,
display a syllabus and post announcements, upload materials, and use
