What is the pedagogical potential of
the web facilities commonly associated with the moniker "Web 2.0?"
These include wikis and blogs for collaborative writing, social
networking sites like My Space and Facebook for community-building,
folksonomies for sharing references, podcasting for asynchronous lecture
delivery, and complex virtual worlds for simulations. Come and explore
whether and how these web services can be put to use for effective
teaching. You are invited to bring your own laptops for interactive
work; some computers will be available to participants. |
