 Location
Our excellent facilities are located in the new Health Sciences building. We have well-equipped research laboratories and a full-service clinic. The UW Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic is operated year-round, and offers both diagnostic and treatment programs for children and adults with communication disorders and differences throughout the lifespan. We also provide clinical services to the university lab school and in the community.
UW is a Doctoral-Research University-Extensive that attracts more than $41 million annually in research contracts and grants. Our beautiful campus covers about 735 acres with nearly 80 buildings. Many campus buildings feature colorful native sandstone, quarried only a few miles from Laramie.
The university campus offers many cultural and sports events, including symphony, theatre, football, and basketball. Laramie is located in the southeast corner of Wyoming. It is on a high mountain plateau (7200 ft) between the Snowy Range and the Laramie mountains, and offers opportunities for hiking, camping, fishing, rock climbing, mountain biking, and skiing within an hour of town. With a population of 27,000, Laramie is a small town that is easy to get around. Yet, the city advantages of Denver are only 2.5 hours away. Our capital city, Cheyenne, is just a 45-minute drive away, and Ft. Collins, Colorado, is only an hour away. Last Updated on 6/30/2009 10:59:21 AM |
