Scholarship Information

Eligibility

All declared Communication & Journalism majors with a minimum GPA of 2.5 are encouraged to apply. 

 

Application

Students fill out one simple application to be considered for all applicable department scholarships (application requires free Acrobat Reader to view or print).  Scholarship awards will be determined by consideration of need, grades, extracurricular and/or internship activities, quality of the essay and the specifications of each scholarship.

 

Important Dates

Scholarship applications must be received in the COJO Department office (Ross 428) by Friday, Feb. 20, 2009. Applications will be accepted any time after Nov. 15, 2008.

 

Scholarships will be awarded at the department reception in April 2009.  Recipients should plan to attend the reception to receive their scholarship.

Awards will be disbursed over two semesters in the 2009-10 school year unless specifically designated fall, spring or summer awards.
