CJ Staff Member Recipient of Outstanding Staff Award   

 

Criminal Justice Senior Office Associate, Laurie Sanchez, was this year's winner of the E.G. Meyer Family Outstanding Staff Award.  Nominees were judged on dependability, attitude, loyalty, initiative, involvement in UW and civic activities, and performance on the job. The award was presented to her at the UW Staff Recognition Day ceremony held on April 4, 2008.  Laurie has been with the Criminal Justice Department since 2000. 

"I'm truly humbled and appreciative to be the recipient of this award.  Working at the University of Wyoming is the best job I've ever had," said Sanchez.

Criminal Justice (CJ) is a social science that critically examines the causes and control of criminal behavior.  The CJ Department is interdisciplinary: criminologists, political scientists, ,sociologists, psychologists, anthropologists, and many others contribute their knowledge to the field.
