The Dutta research group focuses on the design of novel micro- and nanofluidic instrumentation that can enhance our current capability to perform chemical and biochemical assays. Ongoing projects in this group include investigations on nanoscale separation methods, microfluidic immunoassays and realizing advanced sample preparation capabilities for bio-detection applications. In a different effort, the Dutta research group members are also involved in designing novel microfluidic fuel cell devices with improved power generation capability.
