Copy CD's with Windows Explorer

Windows XP allows files and folders to be copied to a CD-R or CD-RW using
Windows Explorer. A separate program is no longer needed to burn a CD.
- Insert the CD-R or CD-RW disk in the drive.
- Highlight Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer at
the dialog box. See Figure 1.

- Click OK.
- Click the Address down arrow in the Explorer window.

- Navigate to the location of the files being copied.
- Highlight the file(s) and/or folders being copied.
- Under File and Folder Tasks, click Copy this file or
Copy the selected items. See Figure 3.

- Highlight the CD-ROM drive.
- Click the Copy button.
- A balloon displays in the lower, right-hand corner of the screen.

- Click the balloon.
- Click Write these files to the CD under CD Writing Tasks.

- The CD Writing Wizard opens. Enter a CD
name, if desired.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish.
- Close the Explorer windows.
