The Cent$ible Nutrition Program offers a series of 16 lessons designed to help families eat better for less.  The lessons explore different topics leading to better management of food dollars, improved nutrition, enhanced food preparation skills, effective menu planning, and better food safety skills.  Lessons are based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and include the importance of daily physical activity.  Customized lessons explore the different nutritional needs during pregnancy, the needs of infants, and the needs of young children.  In addition, one lesson reviews ideas for altering recipes for better health and another lesson discusses lifestyle behavior changes that focus on health rather than weight.  All lessons provide research-based, insightful information in a learner-based structure that appeals to all learning styles and levels.

"Since taking the Cent$ible Nutrition classes I have improved my cooking skills.  I have learned more about following recipes and how to measure ingredients.  I have also learned to save money on my food bill by comparing prices and buying store brands instead of name brands."
