DART Program

Detect Assess Respond Training

The DART Program is part of Wyoming's Early Detection - Rapid Response Pest Detection Program. The DART Program sessions are put on through a collaboration of the Wyoming Department of Agriculture, Wyoming Pest Detection Program, University of Wyoming, USDA - APHIS - PPQ, and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.

The goal of the DART Program is to create a NETWORK of eyes, that work toward the common goal of defending Wyoming from invasive pests through:

  • Educating citizens of Wyoming on how to identify weed, insect and disease pests that are currently in the state, as well as identify new invasive pests.
  • Providing guidance and a mechanism for reporting pest observations.
  • Providing pest observation reports and alerts to land-managers and pertinent agencies, to allow for more rapid decision-making and response efforts.
