Find a job through eRecruitingWhat is eRecruiting? eRecruiting is a web-based database used by the Center for Advising and Career Services (CACS) and Human Resources (HR) to help students in the job search process. CACS advertises co-ops, internships, summer jobs and post-graduate jobs, and coordinates the visits of companies conducting on-campus interviews of students for these jobs. HR advertises student and work-study employment. The jobs posted are on- and off-campus, local, regional and around the nation. How do I get access to eRecruiting? You will need a username and password to access eRecruiting. See Linda Brooks at the Center for Advising and Career Services, Knight Hall 215 to set up your username and password and to receive a brief overview of eRecruiting. Once you have logged into the system, you may begin the process. Completing your profile.The Profile page is divided into four sections: Personal Information, Academic Information, Future Plans, and Administrative Information. All sections should be completed and updated as necessary (the Administrative Information section is optional).
Uploading your documents. A resume is required to apply to most jobs. All companies interviewing on campus prescreen resumes prior to setting up interviews. You may upload different versions of your resume, if desired. Resumes can also be added to various resume books for employer searching.
Employers have the ability to search for students via the resume books. To publish your resume in one or more of these books, locate the Publish Resumes section under Documents and click Go. Complete the section as prompted. Searching for Jobs, Internships, and Co-ops. Once your profile is complete and your resume uploaded, you may begin applying for jobs and internships.
You can also search for specific employers by clicking on the Employers tab on the navigation bar. The Calendar tab on the navigation bar lists, day-by-day, all job opportunities, including resume deadlines and interview dates. The job opportunities consist of all work-study and student employment (listed through HR), and all internships, summer jobs, and post-graduate jobs (listed through CACS). The Calendar also lists other event information, such as Job Fairs and Company Information Sessions. The Event tab on the navigation bar lists the details of your personal events. Once you sign up for an interview or any other event type, the event is automatically added to the list on your personal events page. You can view your upcoming events simply by clicking on Events. USERNAME:_______________________________ PASSWORD:_______________________________ The eRecruiting system can be a powerful resource for your internship or job search. Be sure to keep your profile updated regularly. Also, continue to update your resume so that potential employers can immediately access your most recent activities or work experience. Finally, continue to search the eRecruiting site regularly, as new opportunities for internships and jobs arise daily. On-Campus InterviewingAfter completing your profile and uploading your resume, you may begin the process of signing up for on-campus interviews.
