Dennis H. Knight
Specialization: Vegetation Ecology
Education
B.A., Augustana College, 1959
M.A., University of Wisconsin ,1961
Ph.D., University of Wisconsin, 1964
Professor of Botany, 1979
Professor Emeritus, 2000
Statement of Interests
Dr. Knight is now retired, but he often is available to assist students
plan their studies. His interests include landscape ecology, the
physiological explanation of plant distribution patterns, the effects of
disturbances on ecosystems, and the management of terrestrial ecosystems,
especially forests.
