Meet the AWARE staff

1. Where are you from? I'm originally from Riverton, Wyoming. I spent eleven years living in Corvallis and Salem Oregon, and have lived in Laramie since 2005.
2. What do you like best about your job? I like working with so many different people. I get to work with students, staff, faculty, administrators, community members, and other colleagues from across the country. I also like learning more about students' experiences at UW.
3. Favorite things? There are a lot of things that I love to do. I am a competitive racquetball player and really enjoy teaching a PEAC racquetball class every semester along with coaching the UW Club Racquetball team. I also love to waterski and I try to get out on the lake at least once a week during the summer. I also love just hanging out with my husband, Brad, and our two cute dogs, "Cabe" and "Chico". Finally, I am bilingual in Spanish and so I love traveling to Latin America and speaking Spanish.

2. What do you like best about your job? Working with Students
3. Favorite things? I like spending time with my husband and dogs, hiking, and photography

1. Where are you from? From Cedar Hill, Texas
2. What do you like best about your job? Meeting students and learning about their experiences at UW
3. Favorite things? Favorite hobby is figure skating, but I also enjoy running & swimming and watching bad movies



CarrieCarolyn Cleveland, MS, Graduate Assistant
1. Where are you from? I'm originally from Birmingham, AL. However, I've also lived in Auburn, AL and Stillwater, OK.
2. What do you like best about your job? I enjoy giving students useful information, while also learning from them. I also like to see the students' faces when we demonstrate standard size drinks. They are usually very surprised at how much more they are drinking than they originally thought.
3. Favorite things? I love to ski and just play in the snow, the winter activities are definitely what I love the most about Laramie. I like to bike in the spring and summer. I like to spend time with my husband, Phillip and my dogs, Wiley and Ripple. I also love to travel and cannot get enough of the beach.

1. Where are you from? I was born under a rock my parents always told me
I was born in Nebraska and really lived most of my life here in Wyoming therefore I have to say that I am from WYOMING and that I have worked at the UW for more than 20 years.
2. What do you like best about your job? I enjoy helping young people to better themselves and to be part of that process however I can and maybe make the journey a little more enjoyable.
3. Favorite things? My favorite things are family and that includes my community of friends.

1. Where are you from? My Mom!!! No I was born in Denver, CO and raised in Cheyenne, WY.
2. What do you like best about your job? Helping the students.
3. Favorite things? Spending time with my family.
