The University of Wyoming and its affiliates operate very modern health care
facilities for the student athlete and the physically active.
On
campus the Athletic Training Student will have the opportunity work learn,
practice, and apply skills in three modern, well staffed, and well equipped
athletic training rooms. The Rochelle Athletic Center training room, the
Old Fieldhouse training room, and the
Arena Auditorium training room function as
laboratory settings for the student to master the clinical proficiencies and
competencies that are required of the practicing certified athletic trainer.
The Athletic Training Student will also be involved in athlete and patient care at two affiliated sites.
While at Laramie High School the athletic training student will have the opportunity to work with a variety of secondary sports. LHS and its certified athletic training staff run a very efficient standard secondary school athletic training facility
During general medical and physical therapy rotations the athletic training student will be involved the ATEP's second affiliated site. Gem City Bone and Joint Clinic provides the athletic training student with opportunities such as surgical observations, physician clinical rotations, and a very modern physical therapy setting.
