The Kinesiology and Health Promotion-Athletic Training major is a competitive admission program. In order for the student to be admitted into the professional program in athletic training they must meet a set of standards. Students typically apply in the spring of their fourth semester in the program. Upon admission into the program the student must meet the academic retention policy in order to stay in good standing.
You must make application for admission to the professional Kinesiology and Health Promotion-Athletic Training (K&HP-AT) program once you meet the requirements to enter KIN 3021, Physiology of Exercise (offered fall and spring semesters).
Admission to the K&HP-AT program is a competitive process. Applicants meeting minimum requirements are not guaranteed admission to the last four semesters of the program. The application deadline for fall semester admission is April 15. Students who make application for admission by April 15 will have their packets reviewed first. Application packets received after the deadline will only be reviewed if space is still available. A total of 15 K&HP-AT students are admitted into the professional program fall semester.
