Facilities Planning Project Managers' Report: Information Technology (IT) Center (Scheduled completion date: December 2008) -- Detail work on the exterior continues. Commissioning of the Central Machine Room completes this week. Punch list work continues on all floors and the exterior. Commissioning of the building air handling units is under way. The security system is being installed and is near completion. The main lobby will have painting of the aluminum, hanging of the light fixtures, and flooring during the next few weeks. The contractor is getting all of the city and state inspections completed. A Temporary Certificate of Occupancy will be requested this week. Check out the webcam at www.uwyo.edu/it_test2/itbldgcam. College of Business Expansion and Renovation (Scheduled Completion Date: Fall 2010) -- At the addition, work on the exterior foundation walls and tiered seating in the lecture hall will continue. Cast concrete panels are being installed on the west side. Utility rough-ins will continue on the interior of the addition. Faculty and staff in the UW College of Business have relocated to Crane Hall because of the renovation project. Painting will continue on the third level. Gypsum board installation will start on the fifth level. On the first level, casework and wood trim is scheduled to be installed. On the exterior, glazing and metal panel installation will continue. Work continues on the drive between the History section. Doors and hardware will arrive for the second floor and will be installed. The fire protection system will be installed in the basement and first floor -- west wings. Plumbing, electrical and HVAC are being installed in the same area. College of Law, Moot Court Addition and Renovation -- Final pour of high walls, Thursday or Friday. Pour slab-on-grade concrete in the small Moot Court. Continue with masonry work, east to west. Remove conduits and piping in the path of the heating duct system. Run water piping after path is cleared of obstructions. Centennial Complex -- The acceptance testing of the fire alarm and pre-action fire suppression systems is complete. Interior punch list items will continue over the next couple of weeks. UW Police Facility -- The old UniWyo Credit Union on the corner of 15th and Flint will become the new UW Police Facility. Staging for the contractor is in the north parking lot. Interior framing continues along with electrical, mechanical and plumbing rough-ins. Exterior site work will continue this week and will block the south alley at times. The construction completion is scheduled for March 2009. The UW Physical Plant reports the following activities scheduled for the week: Corbett Building -- The handicap ramp at the east entrance will be replaced starting mid-week, weather permitting. Vehicular traffic disruption will be minimal and pedestrian traffic will be re-routed around work areas. Anthropology Building -- Work continues on the parking lot extension. Disruption to vehicular traffic will be minimal. Pedestrian traffic will be re-routed around the construction area. Downey/White Hall -- The concrete north of Downey Hall and east of White Hall has been replaced. Bike lockers will be placed next week. Pedestrian traffic will be re-routed around work areas. Half Acre Gym -- Construction continues on the infield heating and cooling system. The sidewalk on the north side of the building is blocked for a construction staging area. Pedestrian traffic has been rerouted to the wide walkway north of the playground. A temporary partition has been erected toward the west end of the infield to protect the public from possible injury while the construction is ongoing. Window replacement throughout the building will begin Dec. 20 and continue into January 2009. Wyoming Hall -- A remodel of the north wing on the fourth floor is in progress. Please use caution around the work area. Several spaces in the east section of the Wyoming Hall parking lot have been blocked off for a construction staging area. Fuel Facility -- Final work is being completed on the new fueling facility to the south of CEP (Central Energy Plant). Gibbon Street remains closed to traffic from west of CEP to 19th Street. Access to CEP is from the north off Harney Street. Please watch for concrete trucks and heavy equipment in the area. The south parking lot may be accessed by traveling east, then south around the building. The project should be completed in early January. Campus Carpet Replacement -- Several areas of carpet will be replaced over the Winter Break to limit disruption to pedestrian traffic. The following areas are scheduled: Half Acre men's locker room, Corbett men's locker room, 14 rooms on the third floor of Wyo Hall, A&S Dean's Suite, and several classrooms around campus.
