The National Survey of Student Engagement

The University of Wyoming has participated in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) since 2000. UW has conducted the NSSE in 2000, 2001, 2005, and 2007. We also conducted the accompanying Faculty Survey of Student Engagement (FSSE) in 2005. We will next administer the NSSE and FSSE in spring 2009.

UW is committed to an ongoing assessment of student learning process and the NSSE administration is a key component of our efforts at the institutional level. In an effort to become more transparent about our results, we are pleased to join USA Today's project to publicize NSSE benchmark results for post-secondary institutions nationwide. Although USA Today has provided some background on the five NSSE benchmarks for its readers, UW would like to take this opportunity to describe more fully some of our NSSE data and provide further information for parents and students regarding key programs related to these indicators.

We are pleased to share the results of the 2007 NSSE Administration below.
