After working in the Office of the Wyoming State Archaeologist, Survey Section for eleven years both as a crew member and a crew chief, Marty assumed the position of UWAR curator in 2003. Since then, she has created a new database which includes all provenience information available for the collections and attempted to ensure all artifact and associated records data entered are correct. While only approximately 20 percent of the collection is inventoried and entered into the new database, every effort is made to locate any of the collections and provide access to qualified researchers as soon as is possible.  She also spends time teaching students proper curation procedures and reinforces lithic and faunal techniques learned in class through practical application.
