The quaint old ghost town of Tumbleweed, WY, does not exist. It never did. The boundary here is a conceptual one, between an imagined old west and the stark reality of commercial gas retailing. There is an obvious stylistic schism between the differing built environments here, bringing into sharp focus the conflict between aesthetic and utile structures.
