
UW National Ambassadors have the opportunity to
volunteer,
through their local Ambassador Group,
in one of the following areas:
Business Partnerships -
UW
National Ambassadors work with the Center for Advising and Career Services
to increase the number of employers in identified cities. Interactions
include alumni to student mentoring, providing employer contacts, listing
job openings and hiring UW graduates. The relationships established also
serve development support through matching gift programs and corporate
charitable giving.

Development -
Long-term cultivation of UW alumni and friends is the primary goal of
National Ambassadors. Prospect list review, personal contact, targeted
fundraising activities and cultivation strategies will assist with increased
volunteer involvement and additional private support for UW.

Special Events -
Special
events hosted by UW staff, administrators, and individual alumni/friend
volunteers provide ongoing visibility for the university, which result in
opportunities to enhance volunteer involvement and visibility of the
university.
Event Information
Student Recruitment -
UW
National Ambassadors work with the Office of Admissions to assist with
student recruiting efforts, seeking opportunities to attract diverse,
academically prepared students to the university. Efforts include attending
college fairs, identifying prospective students, following up with accepted
applicants, assisting with the identification of scholarship donors, and
hosting send-offs for prospective students and their parents.
