Community Health Advancement Program


 

CHAP began at the University of Wyoming in the Fall of 2001 and was modeled after a similar program at the University of Washington.  CHAP is sponsored by the Division of Medical Education and Wyoming Area Health EducationCenter (AHEC)

The purpose of the University of Wyoming Community Health Advancement Program (CHAP) is to encourage students interested in health care professions to get involved in community volunteer and community activism projects. Students design, plan, implement, staff and evaluate these programs, with assistance and guidance from AHEC staff.   

Come and learn about exciting volunteer opportunities in the field of healthcare.
