Congratulations on your admission to the University of Wyoming and the College of Agriculture! Below is a list of items to take care of before you arrive on campus in the fall. | SCHOLARSHIPS Complete and submit the College of Agriculture Brand of Excellence Scholarship Application before February 1 deadline. Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid before March 1. The form is available at your high school guidance office, college financial aid office, or at www.fafsa.ed.gov. This form is necessary to receive any federal need-based assistance or federal student loan programs. It may be necessary to use estimated tax information to meet the March 1 deadline. |
| RESIDENCE LIFE/DINING Complete and submit the UW Residence Life and Dining Services contract as soon as possible. Where you will live will be one of the most important things you can arrange before you come to campus. | MMR Provide proof of Measles Immunization (MMR) by sending verification documentation to UW Student Health Services. Fax number is (307) 766-2711. |
| VISIT US! If you have not visited our campus, call me (307-766-4034) and I will help you make the necessary arrangements for you to see the University of Wyoming, meet with me individually as well as a faculty member in your area of interest. |
| ORIENTATION/REGISTRATION Register for a New Student Orientation session. Registration can be done On-Line at www.uwyo.edu/orientation. Sessions are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Orientation is held in June and is your opportunity to register early for classes in the fall. |
| SEND YOUR TRANSCRIPTS Have your final high school or college transcripts sent directly to the UW Admissions Office when they become available. |
| ADVISING The University of Wyoming has a mandatory advising policy for all students except non-degree graduate students. You will need to contact the department of which your area of interest is housed, or call Laurie Bonini at (307)766-4034. |

register, drop/add, and list their courses at WyoWeb (or Web
registration)

available to view information, update addresses, registration, and
student information and communication tools within a web portal.

| MATH All UW Math classes have carefully stated prerequisites. Students who register early for a math course but have not satisfied the prerequisites at the time of the check will be dropped from the course. Information on prerequisites and a schedule of exams can be viewed at www.uwyo.edu/camp/prereq.html |
| Language Credit-by-Exam Students with previous language experience are eligible to take advanced college-level language courses. For students who have taken high school language courses – not college or university – the department offers a pre-enrollment language placement exam. The next such exams will be given during the summer New Student Orientation and in the fall of 2005 in the Language Laboratory on the lower floor of Hoyt Hall (Room 123). |
| Order your Textbooks You can buy your books at the bookstore when you get to campus or textbooks can be ordered online from the UW Bookstore and shipped to you or picked up when you arrive on campus. Visit www.wyobookstore.com or call (307)766-3264. |
| Tuition and Fees Check and Payment Please contact the Accounts Receivable Office at (307) 766-6232 if you have any questions about payments or due dates. |
| Student Medical Insurance Before you will be allowed to register on our system, you will be asked whether or not you would like to waive the Student Medical Insurance. You must make a selection, either yes or no, in order to proceed with registration. | IDs and Parking Permits Once you arrive on campus a student ID can be obtained at the Campus Express office in Room 28, Knight Hall Basement, Ease Wing (307) 766-5267. This is a student’s passport on campus and needed to confirm registration, access the Resident Halls, pick up grades, request transcripts, apply for financial aid, cask checks, attend athletic events, enter the recreation facilities, check out library books and other materials, and obtain food service and other necessities.
