Peak Achievement Scholarship commitments will be fulfilled first by any funds that may be awarded by other UW-based academic scholarships awarded to the student (via donors, departments, etc). Questions regarding how other scholarships interact with this scholarship should be directed to the UW Student Financial Aid Office at (307) 766-2116.
To apply for Peak Achievement Scholarships, students must:
Students are provisionally awarded scholarships by the UW Admissions Office shortly after being admitted. Final awards are made upon receipt of all final academic records. A student’s scholarship award may go up or down based on final GPA and test scores.
This scholarship is only available to first-time, entering freshmen seeking their first bachelor's degree, but is renewable for up to 8 semesters (4 years). Students must maintain full-time enrollment in Laramie campus courses (12 semester hours) during the Fall and Spring semesters each year and maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
Discounts given to children of UW graduates are not available in addition to the Peak Scholarship amount listed above, but instead serve to enhance the student’s overall benefit. Please contact the Admissions Office or visit our Children of Alumni tuition benefit website at www.uwyo.edu/admissions/ChildrenofUW.asp for additional details on how Peak Scholarships and the Child of Alumni benefit work together.
