A great place to be involved!
The UW community enjoys a great schedule of touring artists, concerts, comedy, theatre, art exhibits, and lectures. Add in the excitement of Cowboy athletics and outdoor adventure, and you'll find there's always something happening on campus.
Student Activities Council
Through the years, Student Activities Council has brought many free events to the UW community, putting a special emphasis on targeting all the different interests of the students on our campus!
Campus Activities Center
Our purpose is to promote the holistic development of students through formal and informal programs and interactions. Students and staff of the CAC work together to develop a diverse calendar of programs, activities and learning opportunities for all students.
ASUW (Student Government)
What is ASUW? Every full-time, fee paying student is a member of the Associated Students of the University of Wyoming (ASUW). ASUW student government acts as the voice of the Students. We urge every student to get involved, whether it be in Student Government or in any number of other student organizations.
Student Organizations
Why should you get involved with an RSO?
Greek Life
Our fraternities and sororities are dedicated to developing their members to be successful leaders and scholars on campus and after graduation. We encourage you to take the time to get to know the Greek system at UW. The benefits you will enjoy as a member will prove to be one of the most enriching experiences of your college years. The friends you will make and the skills you will develop will continue to serve you throughout life.
Friday Night Fever
Friday Night Fever aims to provide UW students with free, quality entertainment that is diverse in nature, fun, unique, and exciting, during prime social times. Friday Night Fever also provides opportunities for programming experience, leadership, learning, friendship, involvement and personal growth in an alcohol-free environment.
Outdoor Adventure Program
The Outdoor Adventure Program (OAP) was established in the summer of 1997. The goal of the program is to provide a wide range of outdoor activities at a variety of skill levels for the UW community. Participants have the opportunity to develop lifetime recreational skills, learn about safety and proper technique, gain an appreciation and concern for our natural environment, meet new people, and have a great time.
UW Athletics
Get in the game with the Cowboys and Cowgirls! The Cowboys and Cowgirls compete against regional and national powers as well as the members of the Mountain West Conference. Students get into all of the home action for free and choose from the best seats in the house. You can even join the die-hard Sixth-Man Club and get into home basketball games an hour before the general public.
Campus Recreation
At Half Acre Gym, you will find state of the art features including a climbing wall, jogging track, swimming pool, aerobic, dance, and step classes; weight machines and free weights, cardio machines, racquetball and basketball courts, and a wellness center with information and suggestions for healthy living choices.
UW Art Museum
In 2003, the University of Wyoming Art Museum celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Centennial Complex, the signature building by internationally-acclaimed architect Antoine Predock that houses the university's Art Museum and American Heritage Center. The Centennial Complex is a prominent feature of Laramie's architectural landscape and a compelling component of the university's east campus.
ASUW Gallery
The ASUW Gallery is the located on the University of Wyoming campus in Laramie Wyoming. The ASUW Gallery is the main provider of art exhibits in the Wyoming Union.
