AP/IB Credit

As a high-achieving high school student, you may have the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school! This credit could be a result of Advance Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) programs at your school. You will need to have your AP and IB test scores send directly to the University of Wyoming if they are not posted on your high school transcripts. Minimum score requirements, and credit earned, can be found by clicking on the following links:

Transfer credit from other accredited colleges and universities will be evaluated upon receipt of the official college transcript. When selecting courses for transfer to UW; a general rule of thumb is to look for courses that are college level (non-remedial) and not technical in nature. Courses leading to an Associates of Applied Sciences (AAS) degree, and math courses below college algebra, are generally not transferable to UW. Students are encouraged to contact the UW Office of the Registrar at (307) 766-5272 or registrar@uwyo.edu with questions regarding course transferability.
