Home to the basic elements of a college education as well as the most sophisticated areas of advanced study, the College of Arts and Sciences (A&S) boasts alumni who excel in business, professions, creative arts, and public service.

Our faculty and their students eagerly explore the mysteries of this earth, the earliest history of peoples, and the dynamic expanding universe. Through visual and performing arts, in literature and creative writing, we seek truth and beauty. With study and travel, we strive to comprehend and appreciate the wonderful diversity on our planet. We add technical training, communication skills, and a broad array of courses to prepare our students to think and perform well no matter how their careers evolve.
