See Parking Info below         Parking Map

Students meet in the mezzanine (second floor) by 2:00 p.m.

A&S Alumnus Doug Owsley, Division Head and Curator Smithsonian Museum of Natural History will address honor roll students and their families.

The Honors Convocation recognizes achievements of students who have earned places on the Freshman, Dean's or President's Honor Rolls during the previous academic year.  Each student is recognized individually and congratulated on stage by President Dubois and Dean Walter.  The program also features student speakers and performers as well as a guest keynote speaker.

The criteria for the above honor rolls can be found at the following web site in the General Bulletin (You have to scan down to Honor Roll.).  http://uwadmnweb.uwyo.edu/REGISTRAR/bulletin/grade.html

A letter of invitation was sent out at the beginning of August 2006 inviting students who fulfilled the requirements for the above Honor Rolls.  The Response Card enclosed in the invitation should be received by the Dean's Office no later than September 15th.  Each student who attends receives an Honors Convocation lapel pin and certificate.

If you do plan to attend the Honors Convocation, please meet at 2 p.m. on the mezzanine.   You will be given a pin and certificate, and a card to hand to the reader as you cross the stage.  You, and the other honored students, will enter the auditorium, one-by-one, and cross the stage as your name is announced.  On stage, you'll be congratulated by Dean Oliver Walter and President Tom Buchanan.  You will then take a seat in the reserved seating area.

We encourage you to have your family and friends present.  Your guests should go directly into the auditorium when they arrive.  Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.  Should you or a guest need special arrangements, please notify this office (766-4106) so we can provide those for you.
