From his first position as an instructor at the University of Wyoming to his retirement from the Department of Zoology in 1984, Dr. George T. Baxter was an acclaimed teacher who stimulated, encouraged and challenged a generation of students.

Dr. Baxter received his bachelor's and master's degrees from UW and became an instructor in the Department of Zoology and Physiology in 1947.
