 Margaret Webster Scarlett

Wyoming native Margaret Webster Scarlett earned her degree in hearing speech science when that department was still in the College of Arts and Sciences. She then continued her education at Colorado State University, where she received a master’s degree in audiology and speech pathology.

Scarlett worked first as a speech therapist and later as a speech language pathologist. In 1981, Scarlett and her husband, Richard Scarlett, III, returned to Wyoming after living away for several years. At that time, she became vice president, secretary, director, and major shareholder of United Bancorporation of Wyoming, Inc., located in Jackson.

Scarlett recently completed her second term as president of the board of trustees of the National Museum of Wildlife Art (Jackson). She is a trustee of the Buffalo Bill Historical Center (Cody,
