Diana Marie Waggener (dream), Coordinator of Public Relations
Dale Walker,
Senior Director for Development,
joined the Dean's Office staff in September 2004 as a major gift officer
and now manages the college’s development activities. He earned his B.A.
at the University of Michigan and his M.A. and Ph.D. at the University of
Chicago; his wife, Jill, is presently working toward her bachelor’s degree
in UW’s Geography Department.
His
main responsibilities to the college are: |
Sidney Walter, Associate Director of Development joined the Dean's Office in 1997.

Coordinate with A&S
Development/Advancement staff on fund raising and public relations
·
Donor
recognition activities
·
Plan and coordinate Honors Convocation, A&S
Awards Banquet, and other events as needed
·
Serve
as liaison with A&S Board of Visitors on student recruitment
·
Coordinate faculty off-campus visits.
Garrett J. Danburg, Assistant Director of Development joined the Dean's Office in 2007.
·
Expand opportunities for students and faculty through annual gifts from
alumni and friends.
·
Assist the Director and Associate Director with recognition and stewardship
activities for donors to the college.
Jan Romsa, Development Assistant, joined the Dean's Office
in 1994.
Her main responsibilities to the college are:
·
Assist the Senior Director of Development and the advancement office with development and
administrative tasks as needed.
·
Manage A&S Outstanding Alumni and Former Faculty
Awards process.
·
Coordinate A&S donor stewardship
program, including thank you letters, invitation to A&S events, scholarship
donor recognition, tracking members of the Ben Franklin Circle, and listings in
annual A&S Report donor recognition issue.
·
Coordinate production and mailing of
materials to the A&S Board of Visitors and make arrangements for board meetings.
Diana Marie Waggener,
Coordinator of Public Relations,
joined the Dean's Office in 2001 and has been with UW since 1997. Prior to
coming to A&S, she was an editor for the College of Agriculture Cooperative
Extension Service. Diana received a B.A. in journalism in 1997 from UW and
currently is finishing an M.A. in communication.
Her main responsibilities to the college are to:
· Develop, write for, edit, design, and supervise production of
A&S Report, the College of Arts and Sciences magazine for alumni, friends, and
donors; A&S You Like It, a newsletter for A&S faculty and staff; and the A&S
Student Orientation Guide.
· Create, write for, edit, and design
A&S promotional materials and programs and stewardship and recruitment materials
· Act as college liaison with
University Relations
