B. Oliver Walter [mailto:OWalter@uwyo.edu] I hope you have read the President’s budget request. There is concern that the write up on instructional excellence should be strengthened. The goal is to succinctly describe how this increase in our support budget could directly impact students in the most positive fashion. How would we be able to significantly upgrade the quality of their educations? For instance, an increase for Chemistry might allow the department to purchase a piece of high tech instrumentation for the student labs allowing students gain “cutting edge” skills—or something like that. What would you list for your department? Need these in the next couple of days. Thanks, Ollie
