References for identifying Wyoming vascular plants are listed below, drawing from printed material across the state and the region. The list below includes all references cited on the Rocky Mountain Herbarium homepage with minor additions and updates, plus a separate non-technical section. Information on the sources for ordering these publications is presented at the end. The list includes internet postings as well as books no longer in print that are available through public libraries and used book sellers. The audience includes anyone from taxonomists and other researchers who might not be familiar with the Wyoming literature, to ranchers, educators, extension agents, and native plant gardeners with wild interests.
