Research Interests:Dr. O'Toole's interests are spontaneous diseases in food and companion animals. His research is generally applied and an outgrowth of observations on spontaneous disease. He works with collaborator Dr. Hong Li with the USDA's ARS unit at Washington State University to characterize the basis for malignant catarrhal fever, specifically its pathogenesis and transmission to susceptible hosts. Other interests are inherited and iatrogenic diseases, or - anything that piques his ADD curiosity! |
